Church of the Transfiguration
At the heart of the Community of Jesus, on the shores of Cape Cod Bay stands the Church of the Transfiguration, built from 1997-2010 as a contemporary expression of the architectural style of 4th-century Christian basilicas. A virtual tour is always available on the Church of the Transfiguration website. The church, enriched with hand-crafted mosaic and fresco images, bronze, glass, and stone sculpture, hosts daily community worship services including Holy Eucharist, Choral Evensong, and Liturgy of the Hours sung in Gregorian chant.

Mission of the Community of Jesus
The Community of Jesus on Cape Cod is an ecumenical monastic community in the Benedictine tradition, whose mission is to be a faithful witness to the gospel, and to glorify God through worship, common life, creative arts, and hospitality. 270 men, women, and families from varied Christian traditions and a wide variety of occupations live together in consecrated community life.
La Community of Jesus è una comunità ecumenica di ispirazione Benedettina, la cui missione è la fedele testimonianza del Vangelo, la gloria di Dio celebrata mediante il culto, la vita in comune, le arti creative e l’ospitalità. 270 uomini, donne e famiglie, che provengono da confessioni e ambiti lavorativi diversi, vivono insieme in una comunità di vita consacrata.
Al centro della proprietà della Community nella baia di Cape Cod sorge la Chiesa della Trasfigurazione, costruita tra il 1997 e il 2010 come espressione contemporanea dello stile architettonico delle basiliche cristiane del IV secolo. Nella chiesa, impreziosita da mosaici, affreschi, sculture in bronzo, vetro e pietra, tutti i giorni sono celebrati gli uffizi divini della comunità, fra cui l’Eucaristia, i Vespri e la Liturgia delle ore con canto Gregoriano.
